Through the EnVision Center and our partnership with VITA and Goodwill, the Regional Housing Authority will be offering free tax preparation services to low-income individuals. If any person or family makes $55,000 or less annually, they are eligible for free tax return preparation services.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Mary Patton at Goodwill. mpatton@goodwillnwnc.org. Two different training sessions will be offered December 8 and January 5 from 9 am – noon, lunch is included. You do not have to be knowledgeable in completing tax returns to be a volunteer.
