Violation Workflow/Charts

 

The process of identifying and enforcing code violations is outlined for each type of ordinance. Basic structure includes:

 

  1. Investigation of a third party complaint or initiated during the code enforcement officers inspection of public and private properties, while patrolling.

  2. Notice is sent/given to the property owner(s)

  3. Appeal process, if initiated by property owner

  4. After appeal process, if violation stands, resume allotted time for correction by property owner.

  5. Once the allotted time is up, action is take by municipality to correct violation (Please see the flowchart that matches a violation for complete procedure - right navigation bar in blue -->)
