AAA Presents the 1st Dementia Friendly Business Certificate to the Corner Table in Newton, NC

The Area Agency on Aging presented the first Dementia Friendly Business Certificate to The Corner Table in Newton. Staff and volunteers received training to become “Dementia Friends” and the organization made several changes to make their business more “Dementia Friendly”. This is a new initiative sweeping the nation to provide education, training, and awareness about dementia and how we can make our communities friendlier to those who are living with dementia and their caregivers.
