Request for Proposal - AAA - Licensed Home Care Agencies for In-Home Respite Services
The Western Piedmont Council of Governments seeks competitive proposals from licensed home care agencies capable of providing in-home respite services for caregivers of adults age 60+ or to grandparents age 55+ who are raising grandchildren under the age of 18 for fiscal year July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2020, through Title III-E Family Caregiver Support Funding. Submitted proposals should be for two-year timeline. Service awards are available for the following counties:
Alexander County: $6,000.00 Burke County: $6,000.00 Caldwell County: $12,000.00 Catawba County: $12,000.00
A letter of interest should be emailed to Mary Mitchell, Family Caregiver Support Specialist with the WPCOG Area Agency on Aging at mary.mitchell@wpcog.org. Letters of interest must be received by 5:00pm on March 18, 2019 and will be confirmed by email. Please indicate which counties you are interested in serving.
Interested parties are required to attend an information conference at Western Piedmont Council of Governments, 1880 2nd Ave NW, Hickory, NC on March 26, 2019 at 10:00am. Applications and information regarding service provider responsibilities (budgeting, service administration, service standards, reporting, etc.) will be addressed at the conference. Please let us know in your emailed letter of interest how many will be attending the information conference from your agency.
