October 2020 - Community Employment Statistics

In October, the region had a 2,300-employment increase. Gains occurred in both goods-producing and service-providing sector. Overall, we still lagging behind other MSAs in the State due in part to lack or rehiring in the Furniture, Textiles and Leisure and Hospitality sectors, however, more than half of the job losses have now been recovered. Keep in mind that the data was collected around October 10. Presentation by Taylor Dellinger, Senior Data Analyst/GIS Manager.
