In October, the region had a 2,300-employment increase. Gains occurred in both goods-producing and service-providing sector. Overall, we still lagging behind other MSAs in the State due in part to lack or rehiring in the Furniture, Textiles and Leisure and Hospitality sectors, however, more than half of the job losses have now been recovered.
